I am a Houston-based curator and art historian with more than two decades of experience organizing exhibitions, conducting research, and writing and lecturing about modern and contemporary art. For twenty-two years I was part of the curatorial team at Houston’s prestigious Menil Collection. Working with one of the twentieth century’s most distinguished private art collections shaped my belief that collecting is both an intellectual pursuit and a deeply personal journey. My years working at the Menil Collection taught me that an art collection can not only reflect an individual’s vision but also become a vital contribution to the cultural life of a city. I am passionate about helping collectors build and manage their own collections with that same sense of purpose—guiding acquisitions, providing ongoing collection management, and ensuring that each artwork enhances both the integrity and the individuality of the collection.
I hold a B.A. in Economics and Art History from the University of Texas at Austin and an M.A. in Art History from the Williams College–Clark Art Institute Graduate Program in the History of Art. I am a member of the International Society of Appraisers and qualified to provide USPAP compliant appraisals.
